Devastated supermodel Abbey Clancy says she wants to hunt down the hit and run driver who killed her much loved pooch Scamp without stopping.

Ms Clancy’s six year old Maltese/Yorkshire terrier cross was killed when he was killed by a car near her home in the plush area of Woolton in Liverpool. She has been left devastated by the loss of her beloved pet.

The driver who knocked Scamp down did not stop, leaving the poor pooch seriously injured at the side of the road. A woman passing by noticed the little dog and rushed him to the vets. However, he could not be saved and had to be put to sleep.

Ms Clancy is married to Stoke City footballer Peter Crouch. While she says she has not come to terms with her pet’s death, she has now got a new pooch called Bella. She says having her new Teacup Maltese Terrier is helping her to smile again. The model says that she is not sure what she would do if she found the driver who hit Scamp, but that it definitely would “not be pretty”.

Ms Clancy, who won Britain’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2013, was asked in an interview about her most prized possession. She said that it was little Bella, explaining what had happened to Scamp. She added: “I was devastated, but having Bella has helped me get over it. She rules the roost at home.”

During the interview, Ms Clancy also revealed that it was one of her big dreams to be a Victoria’s Secret model. Given that she is still only 30, she said she was hopeful that she might still fulfill her ambition. Abbey was the runner up in the second cycle of Britain’s Next Top Model. She was born in Liverpool and still lives in the city.
